WITHOUT PAIN THERE IS NO GAIN...WITHOUT PAIN THERE IS NO GLORY - KAZMAIER
Getting stronger can be a big stress on your body. Lifting heavy weights, odd objects, and flipping and dragging things that just don't want to be moved can be hard on a system that just wants to remain in a homeostatic phase. When you train hard you make this system push itself beyond itself sometimes. (Unless you train at P.F. where you are not allowed to get sick , get hurt, or get stronger)As an Strength athlete especially in winter, you are either sick, have a sore muscle, pulled something, tore this or that, etc. You just gotta work around your injuries and try to take it easy and recover on your off days.I am not saying to get strong you have to kill yourself, but there are times you will see and pay the POWER GODS their fee, and have to suffer a little. When you do get a tweak or injury the smart coach and athlete will use this feeback to determine:
1) What hurts
2) What needs work
3) What is weak
An intelligent coach or athlete will always be analyzing what hurts and searching for a couple of things:
1) Why it hurts
2) How to work around it
3) How to get it better so you don't have to work around it long Tags:
