I was sitting here contemplating after doing a stone run on the changes in our sport. Most of which I don't understand. When I started in this sport over 11 years ago (thanks skeet and Ben) we did stone series light to heavy not stone over bar for rep after rep which is more cardio than anything. Not a true test of strength. We went from heavy yokes or farmers with no drops to multiple drops and m...edleys for everything yoke into farmers into tire into burpees. I feel we have gotten away from the true strongman contest and are going towards crossfit. I know it is easier for promoters to bring one stone and a bar but come on guys are hitting 10 reps with a 250 stone but could not come close to loading a 300 stone it's time to man up or woman up and get back to the blood and guts of our sport.-HUDSON VALLEY STRENGTH
